a shawl for our friend erin

knit full of love and hope, sending her strength and courage as she and her family face another battle (for that is what it is) with cancer

it's REALLY not fair when a teen has chemo added to her resume
if it feels right for you, please add your thoughts and/or prayers to mine

it really helps
thank you...

What a beautiful shawl to wrap her in the caring warmth of friends.

  3. As you so personally know, I'm sure your beautiful shawl will bring much needed comfort & and a smile at a difficult time. If you ever want to have a "surrogate" batch of muffins delivered at a particularly difficult time, just drop me a line. I'm nearby! I'm sending all the positive, healing prayers I have Erin's way.

  5. I'm sitting here on my daughter's 18th birthday, holding this beautiful shawl, thinking about her life as it is now - one that was never anticipated, one that must be lived as it has been dealt, for (as Karen says) it is what it is. Feeling the love across the miles.

  6. Yo P, I am swamped in nostalgia. I have spent the morning sorting through and organizing fabric scraps (yes, still working on that project). Remembering sweet little girl dresses, braids and pigtails, curtains that floated in the breeze as we read books, the squeals as all of our eight kids played in the neighborhood together. Walking to the park. Going to the zoo, and picking pumpkins, too. And now, after reading your comment, I am a weepy puddle, missing you so much. My love to all...I'll bet you made Erin a honking decadent chocolate birthday cake.
