tut, tut, looks like rain...oh bother!

the other day, my friend ellen and i
got into a wee bit of trouble:

here's a picture of yarn i bought, for the prayer shawl i just started,
and a fat quarter i bought along the way.

we are under a flash flood watch.
i actually came down to the library
'cause it's getting a bit dreary up on the hill.

peter is driving up tonight,
i asked him to DRIVE CAREFULLY, please.

are you all growing gills and webs
like i am?

  1. Dry here - I spent all day watering the garden before we head to D.C. Just looked up the address for All Souls Unitarian there - it's close to Adam's Univ. and the social justice minister is in the pulpit this Sunday - we're off the check it out!

  2. Yes, yes, gills and webs - well put, Karen!
Bill and I skipped out to a movie and lunch after our morning's work.
Hope Peter made it up safely.

  3. Same here...so much rain and temperatures in the 50's...don't want to put the heat on in July!

  4. Here in the UK we are having one of our hottest summers ever and it is a pleasure to spend so much time in the gloious sunshine. Yesterday it was in the 90's and schools were cancelling their sports days because of the heat. Lots of disappointed children.....
Sorry to hear that you have the rain but that gives you more time to spend on your indoor hobbies. Enjoy the weekend with Peter.
