bread and puppet!!!

we drove up and over the mountains to the amphitheatre at the big town gallery in rochester. here's the bread and puppet bus and orchestra pit.
the backdrop.
wall streeters on stilts...and the collapse of the economy.
a quiet moment.
karl marx returns from the dead to remind us that "money is the invisible diety".
"sheep note singers", in the tradition of shape note singers.

  2. Oh I love them, and seeing them outside is perfection. Unfortunately their visit to Northampton next weekend coincides with my visit to RI. Oh well. It was nice to catch a glimpse of it here!

  6. Five years ago, I had visited the barns in Glover, and seen an exhibit of "cheap art" last summer. I've also done a bit of reading about their history. This was my first experience of Bread and Puppet live. It was truly amazing, and I recommend them to you. If you have a chance, GO!
