adventures

tuesday morning's view...required hot oatmeal for breakfast.
we headed to st johnsbury to the athenaeum
the ceiling on the second floor was beautifully stenciled.
wonderful art downstairs.

then on to the fairbanks museum

then to the dog chapel.

a pew.
and stained glass window.

the snow had melted by the time we got back.
we fired up the home comfort, and had a lovely evening.

yesterday, batman and robin went shopping for a chain saw.
the boys had a busy afternoon, adding fuel to the woodshed.
and last night...more wine, good food and splendid conversation.

it's hard to put into words how wonderful it was
to catch up with very dear, old friends.

i am...

lucky.
blessed.
grateful.

  3. Dogma. I love a pun. Certain folks say it's the lowest form of humor, but I prefer to think of it as the easiest laugh. :-)

  5. Karen ~ Those are lovely pictures of the Dog chapel. I love freshly fallen snow. The trees resemble sculptures and everything looks renewed. Thank you for sharing.

Was talking to family in Conn. and they also had snow today! We'll see what tomorrow brings in Maine. Glad you've enjoyed the first snow in a warm cozy home with good friends!

  8. Snow! it seems waaay to early, but that's because my brain can't wrap itself around the fact that not only is summer over, but we're almost half way through October already?! Hope the boys are careful but have fun with the new chainsaw. Sounds like an absolutely wonderful time at your house with good friends!

  9. SNOW..... unbelievable as we still have winter sunshine here. Your Snow picture is lovely and should be on a Christmas card. Friends, fun, wine, good food, the boys have a new toy. Can't beat it, enjoy the moment. Sue x
