midwinter calm, at my house...

jack frost on the mantel
breakfast (hannah got home last night)
the hope of the solstice,
just blooming on the windowsill
missing candles...
but still a gentle reminder of when they were little...

    Mine is still in the box of decorations, but I can't wait to take out my _______ (the decoration with the candles -- I'm totally blanking on the name at the moment). It's always fun to see the smoke turn the wheel.
