knitting a cowl

the cooler days sent me off to the knitting studio in montpelier.
i found a lovely merino/silk blend.
henry approved of the color.
i hope it will look great with my chocolate brown coat.
he also likes the pattern.
"pashmina cowl" from
it is knitting up beautifully.
but there's a bit more hot weather in the forecast...
so it will be a while before i really need it.

are you working on any fun projects?

  1. Well if Henry approves then you know it's probably a good color. Considering our kitchen matches him and it's pretty nice.

  3. I'm really liking that knitting pouch - bet you made that too! I'm working on a chinese coin quilt variation I hope to have ready for Shel before the cool weather hits here.

  5. Looking good! I'm sure HenHen is "helping". I am working on writing a novel, trying out the rusty old creative writing skills. We'll see what comes of it once school starts... :-)

  7. The cooler days have definitely given me the knitting bug! I love that blue and think it will be gorgeous with a chocolate brown:)

  8. That blue is gorgeous! it certainly looks nice against Henry's lovely orange creaminess and i'm sure it will compliment your eyes and go perfectly with a chocolate brown coat. I started an art quilt that i'm crazy about...modification of a commercial pattern called "Cobblestone Crows"...but i haven't had a chance to work on it for a couple of weeks.
