chopping and thinking and sewing

it is one of my very favorites.
i often think of it when i'm chopping veggies for a stir fry.
i've been busy sewing up a storm...
more napkins (for a birthday gift)
and finishing up another project
that goes in the mail tomorrow.
(i'll post pictures once it has reached its destination.)

hey, what's your favorite vegetable?
(gretta, i know, i know...BEETS!)

  1. I knew which poem you meant even before I clicked! I went anyway and enjoyed the read. I'd say Jicama tops my list - it is a veggie, isn't it?

  2. Beets are in fact my favorites, but I think carrots are a VERY close second. Especially when they are straight out of the ground and sweet and crunchy!

  6. I've never heard that poem before...lovely! Reminds me a bit of Billy Collins' "Litany" in its enumerations but not nearly so overtly Christian in symbolism. Those are beautiful napkins and i look forward to seeing the complete project of yesterday after it arrives at its destination. Favorite vegetable? Tomatoes, hands down (although i guess technically they're a fruit...).
