ReplyDeleteStorey has a great book (called The Homebrewer's Garden I believe) about growing hops in addition to other beer-related crops. I've often thought of growing them myself, if for nothing else but the gorgeous plants. Apparently someone has just purchased a large farm in Greenfield, MA and is planning to start a hops farm there...very local!
Cold is right. Brrr. And I hear another doozy of a storm is headed our way!

ReplyDeleteIt's pretty cold here in Chicago too and, like Henry, we've spent a good deal of the weekend by the fire. After the disappointing loss of our hometown team today, I could sure go for a slice of that pie. Looks so yummy!
