snowbound

it's only 8:45 am and the winter storm warning is in effect until 6 pm.
there's a fire in the fireplace,
blueberry muffins in the oven,
and batman is working from home today.
the birds are flocking,
so henry has his entertainment for the day.

"snow days" have always made me giddy.
thanks, mother nature, for reminding us of who's
really in charge.

what's going on in your neighborhood?

  4. My neighborhood looks like your neighborhood! The kids have tromped tracks through the yard, with snow close to the top of their legs at times. It's not snowball/snowman snow, but the sheer quantity of it is more than enough fun. And there's a bowl of it for ice cream later.

  9. "thanks, mother nature, for reminding us of who's
really in charge." Exactly!! I love that - big storms, lightening, wind, snow. It's kinda fun being put in our place;)

  10. Lots of snow! so glad that you're safe and warm and Batman was able to work from home. We;ve had very disappointing snows so far this year...but even the 1/2 inch that fell this week covered everything in a pretty white blanket for a little while.
