spring napkins

Iron-on adhesive on favorite scraps,
then cut into 1 1/2 inch squares,
then stitched on a random grid.
Do you remember this linen/cotton fabric?
Already hemmed on two edges, it's great for quick projects.
*I went back and bought a bolt*
(You'll be seeing it again).

The breeze smelled like spring this afternoon.
How about at your house?

i think there's a hint of spring, but it doesn't smell like worms just yet!

  3. Nice Marm! Just today I bought some spring green linen to make my napkins! I was thinking of going around the edges with a nice offset color of embroidery thread - I saw a similar item at Anthropologie and it got me thinking, "I can do that myself!" :)

  6. Wow, Karen.... love your spring napkins and the graphic treatment is awesome. The colors are so cheerful.... like how your coordinated the napkins with the bowl.

  7. What nice Spring-like napkins! it hasn't been warm long enough here to smell like Spring yet...keeps warming up and then dropping below freezing again. However, the still air of winter is starting to fill up with birdsong in the morning! mostly robins, house finches, mockingbirds, and cardinals so far...with some rusty-voiced red winged blackbirds and grackles passing through on their migration as well.
