progress!

4 bedrooms and closets are empty.
there are bags of trash, bags for the local thrift shop
and bags for the goodwill drop-off.

there are still piles of stuff in the living room
to sort another day.

but, heck, what progress we have made.
weary, sore, but satisfied for now.

and we will be sleeping on mattresses on the floor
for a while. (henry is intrigued by the situation.)

many thanks to gretta,
i'm not sure batman and i could have managed
all of this on our own.

jeeves and wooster on dvd tonight!

  1. CONGRATULATIONS! In your previous post, you asked for suggestions or to share ways that we've de-cluttered. It looks like you are on the path to total de-cluttered. You are totally inspired!

I think sleeping on a mattress on the floor will be the perfect place to find guidance for what to do next.

  2. Wood floors. Yes. We renovated our house 5 years ago. We debated whether to put some carpeting upstairs, but decide on wood throughout the house (save the tile in baths and mudroom). I am so glad we did. I can truly clean it, and switch out smaller rugs as needed. You will love this I'm sure. Do you ever visit Hancock Shaker Village in Pittsfield, MA? I just love the buildings and furniture.

  3. I love Jeeves and Wooster, though his apartment is hardly a tribute to the uncluttered life. More like Deco gleam and ornament. Can you believe he's also Dr. House?
