yellow for cheer

  • golden beets, prepped for a salad with pistachios and tarragon, recipe here.
  • one of four meyer lemons, our local citrus, growing on the windowsill.
  • forsythia fabric, via golly bard's spoonflower collection, stitched up into a quilt top, ready for quilting. (sneak peek on the banner).
Just prodding spring a bit.
How are things looking where you live?

There's still time to enter the notecard giveaway...here.

  3. I love yellow and I bet the meyer lemon tree smells delicious! The weather here over the last few days has been blowing a gale and rain has been lashing down. A typical spring! I am hopeful that the weather will settle down over the next few weeks.

  4. Ahh, so that's what's pegged out on your banner's clothesline! You certainly have a way with fabric choices. Love the forsythia print.
Sunny, windy, going to get very warm before we have our first thunderstorm. Nearly all the snow is gone. Yesterday the fruit trees were pruned. I saved a vase full of branches to try forcing. Today I think some of the baby greens will get planted into the garden beds. Joyful hours on the first of April.
Rejoice in the pioneer experiences you're living right now. These are memory making days.
