so many of my favorite things in one place...
homegrown, hand dyed indigo, scavenged birch bark and balsam needles from our very own trees.
...and more paper white bulbs brought up from the root cellar
(can there ever be too many?),
blooming in the west facing windows,
overlooking the green mountains of vermont.
a meditation in spare simplicity.
exhale.
the solstice is near.
hope.
light.
peace
to you dear readers...
Your paperwhites card with Season's greetings and wishes brings hope light and peace from your far away Vermont home to mine in The Netherlands.
ReplyDeleteThanks you so much, dear Karen.
Love and blessings,
Jeanneke.
I know I've said this before... blue and white are like good friends who bring out the best in one another.
ReplyDeleteNot growing any paperwhites this season as their "fragrance" is not enjoyed by my partner. However, I keep your greeting card where I can see it and have the best of both...joyful announcing of the turning to the light and a reminder of my friend over yonder in Vermont.
over yonder.
Deletehow that made me smile...
I have the perfect blue and white "thing" to send you...as well as holiday greetings card that I haven't made yet (?!). Wishing you all the joys of the season as Mother Earth wraps herself in her shawl of snow for a deep winter's rest.
