a month of stitching::day 6

We woke to freshly fallen snow yesterday and today the sky is pouring sleety rain. Spring is dragging her feet here in Vermont and so we have coaxed her along with pruned branches from the pear trees.

I finished piecing the Vermont Modern Quilt Guild paint chip challenge this morning and removed all the fussy bits of foundation paper.

I've got a chaplaincy meeting this afternoon and then a bit more stitching. Batman was in Montpelier this morning, wearing a suit and tie, for "Banker Day Under the Dome". Keeping it local here, folks. Just doing what we can in our little corner of the world.

  1. It all sounds good, Karen, except for the sleety rain! Heavy downpours and lightning here earlier tonight! Those blooming branches are real beacons of hope! Can't wait to see your finished quilt! xo
