finishing up, twice

Finally stitching the binding on the chard quilt
And remembering all the first days of school. My own and our kids'.
This is the first one in many years that isn't.
And that feels right. Mission accomplished.
Relax the shoulders, exhale, smile.

  1. Will be interesting to hear how Gretta is doing as she begins college! i still remember the anxiety of each first day of school, plus the smell and crisp feel of new clothes bought from the department store and the pinch of new shoes after running around barefoot all summer.

  2. Cool use of clips - Karen! I'll try that on my binding next time instead of pins - an ouchless alternative ;-)

  3. Paula, I actually hated new shoes, too!

And Deb, these binding clips are a wonder! No blood!
