pausing

Making the time.
(In spite of the list of things to do).
Pouring the water and whisking the tea powder.
Warming my palms with the bowl.

Inhaling and then sipping and tasting and swallowing.

A lovely pause.

How do you create intentional pauses in your life?

  1. I sit down and breathe, quiet myself, put my feet up and check my computer. After 5 minutes I'm ready to go again! Not very profound, but it works for me!

  2. I make a cup of herb tea, sit down and enjoy....
Or I knit a bit that also helps me to calm down!

  3. I answer the call of the deck or patio and enjoy the bounty nature sends my way. Just breathing is my centering. Love your tea ceremony!

  4. I don't do enough pauses each day; I'm trying to work on that. Yesterday we took a big pause from crazy life and took an amazing drive through the red and orange covered mountainsides. That was very therapeutic:)
