2014 :: integrity

I've not done this before...
but as 2014 spreads out wide and fresh before me,
I've chosen one word to explore for a year.

It partners nicely with my 2014 query over on the sidebar.
How well do I bring my inner life and outer life into wholeness?

According to Wikipedia, INTEGRITY is a concept of
consistency of actions, values, methods, measures,
principles, expectations and outcomes.

Thank goodness Lindsey gifted me with
some homemade fuel for this epic journey.

(And I must credit the melodramatic 7 Days horoscope
and Hannah's encouragement
to include consistent in the equation).

How about you, friends?
Are any of you embracing a word for 2014?
I know Uma is...

  1. Welcome to OLW 2014! This will be my second year! I will be blogging about my word during the year as well. Look forward reading about your journey. Here is my blog:

  2. The Dutch word I embrace for 2014 is VERTROUWEN.
Its English equivalents are TRUST, CONFIDENCE, FAITH.

    Beautiful, your query for 2014!

Sending love and blessings from The Netherlands,

    1. I send you a link to my blog post about VERTROUWEN. It is in Dutch; hope that's not much of a problem.

  3. My word for 2014 is HOPE. And i think it goes together with Jeannekes word TRUST

  4. My word is appreciate. While I was intellectualizing about which word I would like, appreciate kept popping her head up into my thoughts. What is the difference between appreciate and the more gracious word, gratitude? I define appreciate as gratitude with an exclamation point. Here goes......

  5. Integrity is such a wonderful, strong word Karen.
Best wishes for this bright New Year!

  6. A wonderful word to live by! My word for the year is "release" and it applies to so many areas of my life. Just getting a blog post together about it!

  7. Karen, I've found integrity within every one of your thoughtful, artistic, sensitive posts since I first met you. Choosing it as your polestar word for 2014 surprised me, got me to thinking.
Maybe this is an answer to my question about the magi...
