Ooh, I've been wanting to make a christmas wall hanging. I don't know what pattern, but my mother-in-law has several of them up in her house and I just love them. They are so festive. I think I'd go for a snowflake or snowman scene.

I didn't use to be all that into christmas fabrics, even though I love Christmas and fabrics... but that's because i didn't have ideas that involved them. but then again, i never do stuff for myself, only for others, so... suddendly... i figured: hey who loves Christmas even more then me? my mother-in-law, of course!!! and she's so great, she deserves it all. that's why i'm going to make her an apron and a tablecloth and napkins and possibly some pot holders all in christmas-ish fabrics and i know even if it turns out corny she'll absolutely love them!!!

ReplyDeleteI would make stockings. A local group recently filled 10,000 stockings for overseas troops, and I made twelve of them. The goal for 2010 is to stock up on Christmas fabrics during the post-Christmas sales, and make stockings all year long!

ReplyDeleteOnly I have not been able to find any decent holiday fabric in the local sewing shops, so for now we've hung their nissehuer (santa hats) instead.

I love the Christmas fabrics! I have a Mary Jane Christmas stocking pattern that I am wanting to make, and would love to use those fabrics in them!
