Great idea! ;) It is very calm here indeed, heavy and still. I don't imagine Western MA will get hit as badly as CT but I've never experienced a hurricane here, so time will tell...
Glad you're high and dry. It's pouring here, with the winds very slowly picking up . . . and then it all stops quickly between bands. But we're as ready as we can be. May your sunflowers stay strong and beautiful.
The sunflowers are beautiful. I followed the link to Erin, the very special person, where I read the blog posted by Mary Potts. I cried and I cried deeply.
After reading the blog, my frustration and a sense of failure at burning a pizza on the grill was quickly brought into perspective. Not only am I not fleeing and enduring a violent storm, but I am going to have a second chance at making a grill-fired pizza.
This evening, while preparing another pizza, I will remember the sunflowers and the living memory of Erin.
Thank you Mary, for being so generous with your feelings and sharing the living spirit of Erin.
Life can sometimes be a wrestling match between love and fear. We can CHOOSE which to embrace. Every day. On my "to do" list? Breathe, hope, notice, invite, love,
create, wonder, celebrate.
feel free to add a link from my place to yours, but please do not use the words and images on this blog in any other way without my written permission. to do otherwise is not nice and illegal as well. thanks.
