He's missing an eye and his right side seam is frayed,
but my heart skipped a beat when I found him in a box.
This vintage Steiff hand puppet was
a dear friend of mine many (50?) years ago.
Well loved, he will find his way to our
bit of earth, you can be sure.
Have you re-discovered any treasures recently?
oh he is gorgeous
ReplyDeleteI recently found my daughter's steiff bear..
oh they are loved these little furry things
Jerome has been making hard choices about his book collection in preparation for his move here this summer. On the book shelves at the city house he came across a two volume set of art history which he bought for me at a used book store called Acres of Books while on a trip to audition for his master's degree in 1971. The books were over 100 years old at that time! I had left them safely at the city house when I moved to the farm. But of course they'll be coming along.

He's so sweet that it's easy to see why you treasure him so.
ReplyDeleteOh, what a sweetie! He has a loving smile and appears to be quite content with his life with you.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, Karen; I have the same puppet from my childhood!
