Very well stated, Karen. I felt very conflicted by this decision...i support the idea of freedom of speech, but i absolutely despair that these wretched haters can use the occasion of a funeral, especially the funeral of a soldier, as a platform for spewing their disgusting message. Glad to know that an account is being kept in the Bank of Good Karma, because boy, those haters sure are bankrupt.

ReplyDeleteThis is a horrific thing to have to swallow, this use of the solemn occasion of a soldier's funeral to put forth a platform of ignorance and hatred. This is one of those times when our belief in the first amendment is tough to uphold, and yet we must.
