HOLIDAY MAGIC...music and giveaway #2

eliza gilkyson, john gorka and lucy kaplansky,
three revered songwriters
have recently collaborated on a remarkable and beautiful album,
called RED HORSE.
gretta, batman and i were delighted to see them live on friday night.
their music is magical and nourishing.

i marvel at how music brings people together,
and inspires. it also creates an oasis in our busy lives.

any of you out there feeling busy?!?!

    I used to belong to a Swedish Lutheran church and i know those red horses and how much the swedes love Christmas
    I don't know if Swedness has anything to do with their music or identitiy..but I took a listen and loved it

  3. This is definitely the time of year for some soothing music. I don't about you but for me, the holidays can be sort of stressful. LOL. I will have to give them a listen.

    Also, thanks for reminding me. I've been meaning to buy some Christmas bulbs. It would be nice to have something blooming in the dead of winter.

  4. Thanks for turning me on to Red Horse, Karen! I have a little red horse that my friend Joan, who lives in Australia, picked up on a trip through Europe a few summers ago. And Ursula Le Guin has a wonderful story for children called A Ride on the Red Mare's Back where a little wooden horse comes to life.

    You ask if we're busy? yikes, i'm so busy, i've made Chanukah cards and still haven't had a moment to address and send them yet!
