words from Clarissa Pinkola Estes
"(Creativity is) the river beneath the river,
which flows and flows into our lives...
The creative force that flows over the terrain
of our psyches looking for the natural
hollows, the arroyos, the channels that
exist in us.
oooooohhhhhhhh...
thank you all, for your thoughtful responses
to the art/craft question i posed on yesterday's post.
what fun it was to read each person's ideas!
for me, it's far easier to say i am creative than to say i am artistic.
the word "artist" is so full of expectations/judgements/blah,blah,blah.
emily over at shining egg has a great post about this. check it out.
this art every day month has really got me thinking and doing, too.
how about you?
(one of my earliest posts, way back in january
tells the story of these pebbles)
Guess what?
ReplyDeleteI love you.
Dear Karen,
ReplyDeleteI would have to second to Gretta's truth, as I like you too for who and what you are vibrating out towards us from within yourself.
The stones always speak volumes as they are the connections that reside in our streams and link the core to that everlasting flow of life.
I am enjoying getting to know you, and like you feel I am rather a creator than an Artist. :)
Love this.
ReplyDeleteThe stones are beautiful, Karen.
ReplyDeleteI don't think it matters what we call ourselves as long as we are creating beautiful and interesting things because we love to do it!
