Could rose petals be lovelier than these brussel sprout leaves? This post reminds me of Our Town. Would that our hearts be ever open to what our eyes perceive.
I have a question for you about those brussel sprout leaves. I love brussel sprouts, but finding some hijackers once turned me off them. Do you prepare them by separating the leaves?
Bobbi, I sent you an email, but thought I would answer here as well. I just shave the very bottom end off, remove any discolored or dried leaves and then proceed as the recipe instructs. I LOVE Brussels sprouts.
Lovely posting, Karen... the photo of your table with the light streaming in makes me smile! You have a way with turning the "ordinary" as you say into extraordinary!
Life can sometimes be a wrestling match between love and fear. We can CHOOSE which to embrace. Every day. On my "to do" list? Breathe, hope, notice, invite, love,
create, wonder, celebrate.
feel free to add a link from my place to yours, but please do not use the words and images on this blog in any other way without my written permission. to do otherwise is not nice and illegal as well. thanks.
..and how beautiful ordinary can be! :)
ReplyDeleteah!....that's why I romance it
