left the windows open last night and woke up this morning at "a bit of earth" with a chill in the air...52 degrees.
asters and goldenrod in lovely drifts in the meadow.
heavy, red/orange clusters of berries on the mountain ash at the front porch.
drifting mist as i drove early along interstate 89 to montpelier to do food shopping at hunger mountain food co-op.
huge, handsome stacks of firewood at everyone's back door or woodshed.
swapping chrysanthemums for tired impatiens in the tub out by the road.
wool on the needles again. shorn, carded and spun from the sheep at camp. purchased at the fair in august.
happy long weekend, blogland friends!
please send good thoughts to our friend judy, who has been re-hospitalized.
Lovely yarn - a very autumnal colour!

Yes, definitely signs of Fall here, too. Tomorrow at the Farmers Market they will have early apples and late peaches..my favorite juncture of seasonal fruit.
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping that Judy will be feeling much better very soon!
I wish I could be there for Labor Day!!!
ReplyDeleteAlas...I will be educating my mind in the classroom....
