sunrise, looking west from "a bit of earth".
an equinox morning...
pulled from the garden in vermont this morning
and in my fridge in connecticut this afternoon.
simple, homegrown, sustainable, powerful veggies.
think about it.
THERE IS SUCH POWER IN THE MOST SIMPLE THINGS.
last night, ellen an i went to the vermont premier of a most amazing movie.
if you have a chance to see it, GO.
some parts are rough (and well they should be).
but it is also full of hope and love and inspiration.
it's about liberian women and the grassroots activism they
used to end a bloody civil war and bring peace to their country.
a woman in the movie asks
"does a bullet know christian from muslim?"
there really is such power in the most simple things.
Yummy... Home made veggie soup comes to mind with thick crusty bread. Sue
ReplyDeleteHow strange, the sunrise and the door above the threashold are almost the same colour.
ReplyDeleteLove your photo of the sunrise. Good looking veggies too.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful sunrise! I am also so excited to have vegetables from our garden. Yours are beautiful, enjoy your harvest!(we don't have carrots but at the moment we have plenty of Swiss chard, some broccoli, eggplants and apples!)
ReplyDeleteI was wondering what the title of this post was about!
ReplyDeleteI will have to look for that movie.
Beautiful sunrise and veggies!!
thanks all! it's such fun to see how many folks out in the blog world are posting about the harvest and autumn!
