bread and puppet treat

we couldn't resist.
bread and puppet "cheap art".

it's such a great invitation to ponder...

what does when make you think of?

  1. (Where to start?)
    When will we smell the flowers?
    When will THIS be our flag?
    When will we be grateful?
    When will this be enough?
    When will we take care of this?
    Once (when) upon a time..."and it was good."
    When = always.
    Another great post, Karen.

  2. What a lovely block print! It immediately made me think of the famous quotation from Rabbi Hillel "If I am not for myself, then who will be for me? And if I am only for myself, then what am I? And if not now, when?"

  3. It just makes me think, "When will all the injustices in the world be righted, when will people respect each other for who they are, when will we all live together in peace?"
    The list goes on and on, but the flag is like a strong gut reaction and a beautiful visual shout to the universe! Love it!

  7. I have just discovered this selvage site online and I love it. I have been cutting these edges off for many years and I thought a person could really do something with the little strips but I never experimented with any ideas. I'm glad someone took the idea further then I did. I would like to build up my selvage stash by winning the giveaway. I would make a handbag to show my girlfriends. I would also go to my local quilt shops and show the bag and see if they would save the selvages for me so I could make bigger projects. Of course I would pay for them at a reasonable cost. Please pick me.Thanks, Shirley S.
